Speedball Baren

This is a 4" diameter teflon Baren that is ideal for proof printing. It is made from heavy-duty plastic padded with foam, polyethylene and covered with a nitrex nylon. It can be used with wood carving blocks and rubber stamps. Designed for hand printing, the paper is lain face down over the inked block. The almost frictionless teflon rubbing surface glides easily over the back of the paper and allows the printmaker to vary the pressure applied. The Speedball baren evenly transfers the desired image onto paper creating a better inked image.
